Mountain Biking at Marion Sansom Park
Marion Sansom Park is Fort Worth's premier in-town mountain biking destination. With over 7 miles of rocky, technical singletrack, it offers a real challenge for intermediate and advanced riders.
Trail Overview
The trail system features rocky limestone terrain, technical descents, challenging climbs, and beautiful cedar breaks. The trail is well-marked and maintained by local volunteers. Expect rock gardens, short steep climbs, and fast flowy sections.
What to Expect
This is not a beginner trail. The rocks are unforgiving, and the technical sections require skill. Bring a properly maintained mountain bike with tubeless tires if possible — the limestone is tough on tubes. Knee and elbow pads are recommended for newer riders.
Getting There
Marion Sansom Park is located in northwest Fort Worth. Park at the trailhead off Mount Vernon Road. The trail is open year-round but can be very slippery after rain — check conditions before heading out.
